
Christmas Tree Garlic Dough Ball Recipe

Add a Christmas twist to your garlic dough balls. This Christmas tree garlic dough ball recipe is ideal for starters or snacking at festive gatherings.
Biga Ingredients
- Flour - 100g
- Water at room temperature - 100ml
- Yeast & Sugar - 1/3 teaspoon
- Mix & let stand at room temperature for 8 hours. (or as long as possible in a fairly warm location)
Dough Ball Ingredients
- Biga (see above)
- Flour - 400g
- Water at room temperature - 200ml
- Kostas Flower of Salt - 12g
- Garlic cloves x 2
- Butter - 200g
- Parsley
- Garlic butter
How to Make Garlic Dough Balls
- Mix the biga & the water.
- Add the flour in small quantities.
- Add Flower of Salt just before the last of the flour goes in.
- Kneed into a dough.
- Separate into 15 small balls (approximately 70g each or use your own judgement)
- Put flour and cling film on top and let the balls rest on a floured surface for 2 hours.
- Turn on the oven to 225c and chop 2 cloves of garlic and fry in 200g of butter.
- Add 1 tsp of Kostas Flower of Salt and a handful of parsley.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Arrange the balls into a Christmas tree shape with a line of 5 balls, then 4, then 3 then 2, and 1 on the top
- Brush the dough balls with the garlic butter and bake in the over for 15 – 20 mins, until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and season with herbs.
- Serve hot as tear and share garlic bread dough balls.
